Vandal is an open-source, low-profile portable case for V4N4G0N PCBs created by community member BA.
Vandal is a 3D printed, low-profile, bottom-mount case that draws inspiration from several other designs. The case closely resembles the R3 V4N4G0N case with an extended four-finger top handle inspired by Rackmount and KnuckHull. The case uses R3 V4N4G0N plates secured with M2x4mm or M2x6mm screws in the four corners. The middle of the plate is not supported in any way by the case, allowing end users to customize the amount of flex by using different plate materials.
There are two versions of the case available on GitHub: one with standard holes to screw the plate directly into the case and one with larger holes designed to use brass heat set inserts.
The case does not include a cutout for the 2nd USB port on Monorail PCBs.
DXF files for switch plates and links to purchase assembly hardware are available on the Files page.
