Retro60 was a thick-bezel, universal 60% case designed by TheVanKeyboards
The shape of the Retro60 was inspired by the iconic Apple M0110. The case featured a very high-profile bezel to match the Apple design and paired well with SA keycaps. The bezel was so tall that the stems of the switches and bottoms of the keycaps sat several millimeters below the lip of the case bezel. Using shorter keycaps (DSA, GMK, XDA, etc.) could result in the tops of the keycaps sitting nearly flush with the case bezel. A set of 3mm brass risers were included with the case that could be screwed into the tray mount points for the PCB. This would raise the PCB and keycaps higher in the case to improve the typing experience with short keycap profiles.
Only one design revision of the Retro60 case was created and was produced in mutliple materials. Metal cases were made from aluminum and finished with a dark grey anondization. A series of Retro60 cases were also machined from exitic woods including bloodwood, bocote, purpleheart, and zebrawood.
