Aria is a premium stainless steel case designed to fit The Ketch PCB.
One prototype had been produced and a group buy production run is planned but no details have been set.
Aria is a high profile, 3-layer, sandwich mount case designed to minimize the amount of empty internal space. Aria is a successor to MHKB and shares many design elements such as a 5mm thick switch plate, thick bezels, and blockers on the top piece. The angled "foot" is integrated into the bottom of the case, contrasting with the removable "SHU" on MHKB. The working name for the first version of the design was "MHKB Mk.II". "Aria" was chosen after a string of successful gets.
Aria is specifically designed to exclusively support Ketch PCBs. The case is designed so the PCB rests on the bottom case piece with cutouts for switch legs, individual diodes, and the microcontroller. This extremely tailored fit means that Aria will not support any other current PCBs.
One 3d printed SLS Nylon prototype was created by Trash Man. The prototype features a WKL layout with a centered 9.75u spacebar flanked by two 0.5u blockers and 1u keys in the corners. Plate mount stabilizers are required as Ketch does not support 7u PCB-mount stabilizers.
